DECISIVE ACTIONS WHICH ARE CORE DETERMINANTS IN RESPONDING TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN VIETNAM: AN EXAMPLE OF A LOW-INCOME COUNTRY.

Covid-19 has been widespread worldwide. Although Vietnam shares the border with China where was known as the originated place of the Covid-I f, the country still has kept low numbers of the virus cases. Currendy only 270confirmed cases with no death have been recorded in Vietnarri (updated on April 27, 2020)(Ministry of Health, 2020).Among those 225 patients recovered while the rests (45cases) are keated with stable health conditions. As views from Viemamese nurses, Vietnam has managed the crisis efficiendy using a seties of swift actions.Social distancing had been practiced when there were just a small number of cases confirmed with virus in Wuhan, China. Vietnamese citizens were called people to stay at home and celebrate the Lunar New Year's Eve with family members only. All national New Year events were cancelled. The national holiday had been extended until now, except essential works, such as food industry, pharmacy or governmental office work(Search Results Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, 2020). All schools have been closed, except some medical and nursing schools.Massive tests have been taken. Testes have been taken to those who are suspected with the virus, who are closed contact to the infected people, and those in quarantines. Vietnam is one of few countries in the world that has successfully designed test-kit packages based on real-time PCR method (RT-PCR) with high sensitivity and specificity to the Covid-19 (Viet Nam News, 2020).
